Acceptances where you totally expected a ding
« on: January 06, 2005, 04:52:44 PM »
I know this is kind of a Cinderella story post, but I don't need the whole story.  I'm just curious about people who got accepted to one of their reaches.

It will make me feel better about people pooh-poohing my choices. : )

In my excitement, I've already posted this everywhere today, but what the hell :)...I got into William & Mary with a 164/3.14.  I had considered it a major reach, but I think my 10yrs WE must've helped.

I posted this in the Cinderella thread, too, but getting in to a reach is so darned exciting, I'm going to post it again.  I got into Wash & Lee (LSAC calculator put the odds at <25%).
Going to George Mason

That's great, Monkey.  And encouraging.

I have the exact same numbers as you, and the 10 years WE, AND run a business.  (Are you me?  Naah.)

That makes me feel like I have a chance.

Wow, my LSD alter ego! :)  Good luck - I'm sure you have more than just a chance!  Where else have you applied?  Are you on LSN?

GW... even though I know my numbers are ok for the pt program.. I was still skeptical.. Now, I just have to decide if going to the pt program is worth it..

Oh.. the BC deferral was pretty damn surprising too.. Especially after noting some of the index scores that got flat out rejected.
ATTENDING... UGA.. GO DAWGS!!!
