So does he have a J.D. or not? If not then why the hell name a frickin school after him? And if launching us into an off the charts deficit and a spiraling economy is what defines a great president than I suppose, yes, yes he was the best.

They're naming a university after him, not just a law school.

And I would venture to say that quite a few universities and other institutions are named after people that not everyone would consider to be heroes.

So does he have a J.D. or not? If not then why the hell name a frickin school after him? And if launching us into an off the charts deficit and a spiraling economy is what defines a great president than I suppose, yes, yes he was the best.

exactly, i guess if you define greatness by the ability to charm the ignorant masses and gain power for your party then Reagan was truly a great man.

Someone please, name one thing that Reagan did that we can all look back and be thankful for.  this is what i see as his legacy...

-running up the biggest deficit in history that took 8 years of clinton to overcome

-implementing a more regressive tax structure to favor the wealthy at the expense of the working and middle class

-spearheading draconian drug laws that are largely to blame for overcrowded prisons, loss of judges discretion in criminal matters, violent dangerous criminals released early to make room for the guy who has a mandatory sentence for selling reefer

-influencing prejudice policies against women and homosexuals

yes a great legacy indeed.

So does he have a J.D. or not? If not then why the hell name a frickin school after him? And if launching us into an off the charts deficit and a spiraling economy is what defines a great president than I suppose, yes, yes he was the best.

Well no more needing to discuss it, Nancy Reagan said no to the idea.

I think MTV had more to do with ending the cold war personally... And yes I am being serious.  Everyone wanted what they saw on tv and started revolting (slowly) against their respective cold war governments...

MYV ended the cold war?

Spiraling economy?  Everyone was benefiting from the economy not just the richest.  Please people don't believe everything your Poli Sci Prof says.

Does anyone consider what the economy looked like during the Cater term?  Then in less than 4 years inflation was under control and jobs were increasing. Who is responsible for that.
