do the hippo dance thing from the avatar......nude.....it'll win them over

'cause that's their mascot.  I never understood that.

The Hippo dance isn't really helping....all I got is a deferral to show for it.

I went to GW for undergrad.  I used to take the Foggy Bottom metro (only touched inappropriately on the train twice in 4 years- darn) and walk past the law school every day.  It's a great place to live when you're young, but now that I'm old with a husband, mortgage, and a couple of kids, the thought of living in DC makes me tired.  But if you're young and full of gusto, GREAT!!

The hippo thing started when I was an undergrad at GW (maybe in 96 or 97).  Pres. Trachtenberg saw a statue of a hippo somewhere and thought it was cool.  He bought it for the University and put it on campus.  He then made up a ridiculous story about how there used to be hippos in the Potomac River in an attempt to make it relevant.  There was an unbelieveable amount of controversy over the hippo statue.  Now you're as confused as we were back then...

Hey I tried, but the boat already had two hippos and the man in charge had a thing for "things in pairs." OK I need to get off these meds pronto.
