Is anyone else having trouble with DC mail?!?!
« on: December 30, 2004, 11:09:23 AM »
Why is it that the USPS seems to halt when the House and Senate are not in session? I have not receieved any mail, junk mail, wrong mail, ANYTHING, in the past TWO WEEKS! The place I stay at always get mail (there are 13 other people that live here). Yes it's the holidays, yes it's DC, yes there is anthrax, but come on. People like to make fun of the South for being slow and backwards but at least we get our mail on time. Geez, it's not like rejection letters are that hard carry. It's just one piece of paper in an envelope....the thinnest piece of mail I have ever received. Thank God I am not a chick....I would be the most annoying person around (more so than I am now). Boy if I could only find a job that pays for bitching...besides becoming a laywer.

It's gonna suck getting all the backlogged mail in one day. I might beat my 4 rejection letters in one day record I got last year. I should at least get a Jabba the Hut trophy for that.

yeah for all the other people living in my house we put our mail on hold....so i'll get a buttload at the same time.

if you get less than four rejections in one day again I'll mail you a certificate of LSD prowess (but then it won't get to you for three weeks anyway)

Thanks, I'll be looking forward to the horse drawn carrage (ie the USPS Mail Truck). What other schools are you waiting for?

Well I am receiving mail again, so far only stuff that is post marked on the 22nd. This hold up is driving me nuts though. 5 of my housemates moved and I suspect that their new address forms are holding up the process, but the same stuff happened to me college and it never took this long. One of my ex roommates moved to Japan, so I am going to be REALLY ticked off if my stuff gets sent there and then back here to the states.  :-[
