Question about GPA

How will an A in a 3 credit course differ from an A in a 1 credit course? I was told that an A in a 3 credit course is worth more than a 1 credit A. How will each affect let's say, a C?

When your GPA is calculated, it's calculated by credit hours...an A in a three credit course will have three times the weight of one in a one credit course...
