When you see someone with similar stats get accepted to your reach or target school on LSN, do you think "Great I have a shot there!" or "darn, they just took my spot!"? I feel like my chances get severly diminished when someone with similar gets admitted, but I have been really pessimistic lately (it's beyond the point of the glass being half empty to "what glass?").

I tend to think "yes! it's happened before, it can happen again!." I think the trick is just to get your apps in all hella early so that in the back of your mind you can say to yourself, "well, the chances are in my favor that i'm one of the early ones with these numbers, thereby putting me near the front of the pack ..."

That's the problem, I did do that and haven't heard anything....thats what makes me worry.
