Russian = URM?

It's sad really. I'm the only Eastern European 1L i know. I'd be surprised to find someone else who wasn't born here. Or maybe it's just UVA...

Probably just UVA, or maybe even just your class. Hearing that shocks me, to tell you the truth. My class and my law school were full of Eastern Europeans and other immigrants. Off the top of my head, in my class there were at least 5 from the FSU (not counting the LLM's, obviously), and God only knows how many from Western Europe and Asia.

It's not just my section. We have classes with other sections and so far i have not seen anyone who is Eastern European, nor have i heard of anyone who is. I'm sure there has to be at least someone besides me, at least in upper classes. Come to think of it, the only foreigners we have besides LLMs are some Asian students.

Yeah, but you're also the only East Euro I know who scored above 165.

Two of us from the former USSR at GULC (~450 class size).  There is one girl from Bulgaria, and one more from Romania, I think.  That's all.

That's nuts. Most of the representatives of the FSU at Boalt are Armenian, but still, there are plenty of Russians, Ukranians and the like. We even have a little society for law students from the FSU.

Well, DC is not exactly the least diverse city in the US, and you'd think that with its huge class size GULC would have more of us. 

There are only 2 at NU as well.  Incidentally, both have posted on LSD.

This is surprising. I knew so many Russian prelaws when I was an undergrad. Many of them now attend law school in California and elsewhere.

Maybe there are some "secret" Russians in your classes...
