I have been waitlisted at Yale, NYU, Columbia and Chicago. I was also waitlisted at Stanford and Michigan, but withdrew my applications there because I got into Penn and want to stay on the East Coast (except maybe if I get into Chicago).
Can anyone advise as to how the waitlists are used at these specific schools, or what additional information might help my chances (e.g. a letter saying they are my top choices, etc.)?
Any anecdotal information would also be helpful.
Incidentally, I applied to Harvard as well and have not heard a peep out of them, at all. Anyone else in a similar position?
Thanks.
