it seems that there are a lot of users presenting questions about waitlists. i wanted to know, overall, what are the chances of a candidate actually getting accepted after being waitlisted?
is it school dependent?
is it completely dependent on the people who accept the invitation to attend?
is there a general percentage of people who are on waitlists that eventually attain acceptance? 10%? 15% 2%?
im curious because it seems like people are really trying to bank on waitlists. i was under the assumption that if you are waitlisted, it usually means 'you are a good candidate and meet our admissions criteria, but not for our school. choose another school.'
is it even worth stressing about? ...its like giving a guy blueballs (unless youre a smurf...then it probably turns a different color).
