Got my ding today.  No shocker.  Really glad I got some acceptances first, or this would suck.

Sorry about the ding hoya lawya. You should really apply to some T1 schools that take the higher LSAT as opposed to the average. I don't know if you are location or program specific, but you might have a better shot with a 164 at Cornell, W&L, Minnesota, UNC, etc. than with a 162 at the other schools you applied to. Just something to consider....

thanks.  I applied mostly on location, other than my two real long shots (Duke and USC).  I want to be in an East Coast city.

...but, as I am getting rejections, I am beginning to consider sending another app or two.  What other T1s take the higher LSAT?

Each have a specific policy about LSATs and most are case-by-case, but try this to start:

I just got the ding letter today, which totally freaks me out.  cuz on lsac's site i had a 60 - 80% chance with 3.22/168, and i also have 2 years of WE.  i would have thought i would have at least got on the waitlist or something, makes me think something is seriously wrong with my app.

sorry to hear that, but if you check GW's site, only 38 out of 284 people with your GPA/LSAT combo were admitted.  Take a look at the entering class profile, it's pretty interesting - they break it down really well. i haven't gotten an acceptance email yet with my 165/3.54, i'm starting to freak out - this is one of my top choices since Gdub is so strong in IP

You were rejected from BC and GW but were accepted at GULC?! I would never have thought that would happen.
