Congrats!

Congrats!

Not to sound dumb, is getting in with a 56% from chiashu considered a big reach?

I'm a little more conservative than most on this site, but yes, I would say that 40-60% constitutes a reach.  Getting in somewhere with less than a 40% chance (like 20% for me at a few of my schools) is next to impossible, in my opinion.

Well, I guess I'm screwed then, my highest percentage is about 30% to where I applied.

That's awesome lovebug78, congrats! Curious, when did you apply and how soon was your app complete?

Like I said, I'm a little conservative.  The more extras you have (URM experience, great WE or community service, etc) and the more schools you applied to, the greater your chances of getting in somewhere are.  Plus, I've decided I'm only doing this application thing once--I wanted to make sure I had options this time around.
Accepts: Akron, Washburn, Hamline, Valpo, Mercer, Baylor (Sum), Arkansas, Ohio Northern, Tennessee,  Ave Maria, U of St. Thomas, St. Louis, S Carolina, Hofstra, U Florida.
Rejects: George Mason, UGA (blah).

I'm going to Tennessee!!!!!!

Thanks to all that have given their CONGRATS!  ;D

DEEZEL1515: As for answers to your questions, I sent my app in on 11/9 and it was complete by 11/22.  I guess that's another reason why I was shocked to have received my acceptance letter...   :o

GOSH! I'm happy tho that they didn't make me wait... that woulda sucked.
