Take some advice from an old drunk, always drink beer from a glass bottle; first the neck allows you more force when using it as a bludgeon to facilitate an “attitude adjustment” with a friend or fellow drunk.Second, you can peal the back label off the bottle to denote it’s yours and not swap spittle with bubba; it gives both a visual indication, even with blurry vision, as to which beer is yours, as well as a tactile indicator for those low light drinking situations. Third, peal the front label off once you have consumed all its golden goodness, this indicates its ready for use as an ashtray or an attention getter for smashing against the wall to indicate you have gone from happy drunk to angry or depressed drunk. Your hand will quickly feel, even if your eyes are now just mere slits, that this is your ashtray and not your adult beverage. You can also just use a different brand of beer as your ashtray, this makes it someone else’s problem, and works especially well if you also steal their cigarettes while they are sluring the same story you have already heard three times that night.
