I am just curious of what the effects of been older would have, and self conscious also.

Sure hope not - I'll be 33 by the time I start.  Check out the Non-Traditional Students section on this board.  28 is definitely NOT old.

Hell no - I've read somewhere that law schools actually like older applicants - and as for anecdotal evidence, I know of one person who went at 27yo and another at 30yo - both have graduated (one from Duke and another from Penn) - and both got great jobs with firms in DC and NYC.

I'll be starting at 37, not done until 41 or so. That gives me plenty of time to sue lots of people.

Hey random,

If all goes to plan, I'll be starting law school at 29.

That is still young.  I'll be 36 when I start law school.

Age is only a number.  I can do more sit-ups and lift more weight than I could when I was 22.  I'm a much better person now than I was when I was the "traditional" law school student's age.

Also, now that you are older (me, too), we qualify as diversity students at a lot of schools.

Good luck.

hey tristate B....

I am the same way - not self-conscious...actually since I've been working full time and going to school at night for the past few years...I've learned a LOT and have grown up quite a bit more than even my 25 year old friends.  Time management, organization, dealing with people in the workplace, etc etc

DON'T GO TO LAW SCHOOL YOU DUMB FUCKS.

I hope it's not old - I'm going to be 28, too  ;) And I agree - much better to have the maturity and life experience that you get working post-undergrad. It was right for me anyway... I never even considered law school in college...
