Haven't gotten my Osgoode OASIS letter yet.
Ottawa app is under review.

Can I ask when you got your UofT acceptance?

I got a verbal unofficial confirmation from Diane Mirth at U of Alberta...that is even with my crappy LSAT score.

Matt, what exactly did Diane Mirth tell you?  They refuse to tell me anything besides "you are an excellent candidate".  I am beginning to wish I applied to more schools than just Ualberta.  U of T gave me a deadline extension but if I don't get into UA I doubt UT will want me.......   *sigh*

Hey Dumb_Jock, how did you get a deadline extension from UofT?  Did you have any extenuating circumstances?  I ask because I would like to apply to UofT but I decided to do lawschool after Nov 1.  I know UofT accepts late applications but was wondering just how lenient they were, whether its just for special circumstances or anybody who wants to.  Thanks.

"excellent candidate" = IN.

BTW

Here is the lingo they use

"excellent" = easy.
"competitive" = more than likely as long as your numbers dont change

I dont know the rest...but they dont throw those words around loosely.

163 is their magic LSAT number.  You can have pretty bad scores and get in with a 163 at U of A, they are desperate to raise their LSAT number.

hey bball,   I don't know why I got the extension. I hadn't considered U of T since my 3.4/ 165 is below thier medians but they sent me a letter in the mail saying they got my name from LSAC candidate referal thingy and would like me to apply and since it was past Nov 1 they gave me till Jan.25.  I'm not sure if my being an economically disadvantaged Latino had anything to do wit it, U of T does say they seek diversity

I bitched and complained about my oct lsat and told them they had "my permission" to remove it from my scores when i was admitted, so they could boost their entrance numbers.

I'm actually shocked at how cocky my supplemental form was heh.
