what to do about financial aid?

Sorry if I'm putting this in the wrong thread, but I figure people who look here are all done with the actual applications and are ready to move on to the less "fun" part....
I'm all done with apps and in at GULC (yay!), but now am trying to figure out what to do to get the financial aid stuff rolling. Does anyone know if I need to file the FAFSA before January 1, 2005 for money for next year, or do I wait until my 2004 tax returns are done? Any advice on particular schools?

You can do the FAFSA on January 1, 2005; that's the first day it becomes available. You don't have to wait until you have completed your 2004 taxes
