Employers recruiting on campus..?
« on: December 07, 2004, 04:38:59 AM »
Okay so most schools have reported to princetonreview.com how many employers recruit on campus..

But.. how useful is this information?

Should this number be divided by the class size?

Theoretically better schools should have higher ratios, but this puts big schools like georgetown at a disadvantage

GULC: 0.40 ratio
Baylor: 0.57 ratio

See what I mean?

It's relative.  I'm sure a lot of it depends on the city/state the school is in.  And just because X number of employers recruit there doesn't mean they hire the same number of students per school...perhaps employer X goes to GW, Georgetown, and American.  They hire 25 people from GW, 15 from Georgetown, and 2 from American...see?  School size and rank are self-correcting.
Accepts: Akron, Washburn, Hamline, Valpo, Mercer, Baylor (Sum), Arkansas, Ohio Northern, Tennessee,  Ave Maria, U of St. Thomas, St. Louis, S Carolina, Hofstra, U Florida.
Rejects: George Mason, UGA (blah).

I'm going to Tennessee!!!!!!
