Received said manila envelope from NYU today. Fairly surprised to hear back so quickly from NYU (3 week review) beause I thought I was borderline (3.9/169.) Although I have absolutely no intention of spending my three years in New York, I applied beause of the fee waivers, I hope this bodes well for UChicago.

Congratulations to all who had NYU as their top choice, I can't imagine what you all are feeling like right now.

3 weeks is about 7 times as long as they spent on mine.  They're just ridiculously fast, apparently.

Don't say they're fast! That does not bode well for me...my application has been complete since October! it's probably my top choice should the law school gods decide to smile down on me again  but nyu would really be pressing my luck.

I'll bet this does bode well for you and chicago... so can I have that NYU spot you aren't planning on keeping? Man how I wish it worked that way!!

My bad - maybe the fact that they haven't decided yet just means that they've sent it to the entire committee for review.  You at least didn't get auto-dinged.  If they're accepting people quickly, they could be auto-dinging early too.

Accepted at NYU Today! Come on Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, and Penn so I can have some interesting options to really think about (i.e cost versus education versus location)
