170 Yet Miss Passage or Game?

170 Yet Miss Passage or Game?

I would be lucky to break 164. But I was wondering, for those who get 170, if you've ever pulled it off while still missing a passage or a game.

On both my 169 and my 171 practice tests, I was guessing on the last game. Got 18/24 on one and 20/24 on the other...but (duh) I did really well on RC and LR... :)

I've never not finished a section, but I did get 170 several times while getting five or six RC wrong. If you're really good at one section you can make up for incompetence in another section.

I think you can get away with devoting a bit more time to one game or one RC i.e., going over the avg 8.45 minutes per game or RC passage.

This works well if you think by just spending a bit more time on the RC passage or game that you a can get one more right which you may likely get wrong due to being slightly rushed.

When I take it in feb I will employ this stradegy.

My husband got a 171 (five or six years ago), and he missed the last game -- he just filled in the bubbles randomly, and got 5 out of 6 wrong.  But he got zero wrong on RC, and of course very few wrong on the LRs and the other games.
