Should I cancel? Didn't finish 9 RC questions
« on: December 04, 2004, 04:52:55 PM »
Help! I'm debating whether or not to cancel my LSAT I took today. I only got through 2 RC passages, the third one I literally quessed on all of them, and I filled in the last 9 questions with my letter of the day. On the rest of the test I think I did ok but who knows. I'm terrified that I might score in the 40's or worse and then it would be literally impossible to bring my score up. Does anyone have any advice?

If it was the third section for you, dont worry.  That was the expirimental.

If you only had one, you may want to cancel however.

I agree with AJ, if you are SURE it was the experimental-go with it.  Otherwise, It sounds like you better cancel and cut your losses.  Sorry, Beter luck in Feb.  :-\

hi,

have you taken the exam previously, and if so, what was your number? If you do decide to cancel, would you be taking it in feb? And that is late for fall 05 admission, right?

Relax dude, the 2nd RC was experimental.  This is the section that contained 28 questions.

How do you know he's talking about the 3rd section casper?

What is your average score? It's hard to say whether to cancel or not unless we know what you expect to get.

28 question one was experimental. If that was indeed the one you didnt finish, keep your score.

I had the test with 2 games sections so it definitely counted. On my practice tests I averaged about a 158. I've been studying for 3 months and I just couldn't grasp it. If I take it in February than I have to put school off for another full year. I'm so depressed  :-[

9 RC isn't that bad to skip if you only want a 158, at least for me it wouldn't be. You can safely assume you got one right, probably two. RC was hard this time as well.

How did logic go? What about games?

That's the real question. If you want 158 you can get something like 25 questions wrong...

I would not feel good about having to guess on nine questions in the RC.  I thought the RC was tough, and I had to really hustle to finish.  The algae/lichen article was tough for me.

I think I'd probably cancel -- UNLESS you are dead set on starting in Fall 2005.  I bombed the October 2004 games section, but aced everything else.  I mean I felt GREAT about everything but the games.  I cancelled, and I'm glad I did.
