Thanks guys. I appreciate it. Scores are 3.1/161, interesting circumstances and 3 fabulous recs and other stuff to make a fairly decent app package. I actually wasn't going to apply but they sent me a fee waiver.

CONGRATULATIONS twysted!!

When did you apply?  Complete?
Also, how did you get your acceptance?  Email? Snail mail?  Thanks!

Wow, that is a tad racist.

"Hey Tim, I just got accepted to Georgetown law school!"

"Really?  It's probably because your black."

"Screw you, Tim"

It reminds me of that Curb Your Enthusiasm episode where Larry meets up with Richard Lewis's doctor, who is black.  When Larry finds out that Richard's black friend is a doctor, he mentions something like "So, I see Affirmative Action is working for you."  Classic episode.

it wasn't racist it's relevant to admissions.

i agree that it's not racist...i think it was just the word "clearly" that turned people off.

I agree. Its no secret that being a URM helps a great deal in admissions and it is a perfectly relevant thing to ask. Frankly, in many cases being a URM is the difference between getting accepted and getting rejected at a school.

I agree, I should have phrased it differently.
