We're having some site issues tonight. Sorry for the slowness / unavailability.

We are being bombed with newbies freaking out about their LSAT's.

Not sure how entering through Google would help (the Google cache maybe?). The problems are part LSAT traffic and part something I messed up (I think - but I fixed it now). It's still working most of the time, so hopefully it's not too big of a burden.

Earlier I would get timed out and then after about 5 attempts I could get back on the site. The weird part was that once I got back on the site would be REALLY fast for a while and then the whole thing would repeat.

Probably because you were persistant. The site probably got overloaded and crashed (it has been happening). It comes back and you're the first one on. You see the site as fast as it should be all the time.
We'll see what happens after some of the LSAT traffic dies down. If the site continues to grow we'll move up to a crazy-fast server (but might not seem any faster if traffic increases proportionally).

Hey Andrew,
Its late (about 1 AM) and there are very few people on right now and yet I still seem to be having random problems like before. This seems to be a new phenomena.
If its not traffic, what is it?

There are lots of processes, even during light traffic times. It's not necessarily the number of people online but what they are doing (posting, reading, etc).
Things should be faster in 2005.
