I'm from roxbury, just a little bit down 80 from parsippany.  You guys have some good restaurants, and a pretty nice Movie theater.

Yeah I went to roxbury for a wrestling match one time.  i also had some friends in randolph.  they kicked our asses as i recall (the wrestling team) and we all would joke about how they wrestle farm animals out in roxbury.

I met some people at a party at NorthEastern from Milford. They pronounced it "Meffed". Gotta love that cool Mass accent.

I know.  I have lost most of it (been in Fla. since 1994) but I've also picked up the southern accent a bit.  So I now find myself sounding a bit strange, using a mixture of "yankee" and "southern" styles in the same sentence.  For example "Y'all have to see this, it's wicked cool!" or "I'm fixing to get a drink from the bubbler - hold on!"

just in case I have to explain....
["bubbler" = water fountain]
["fixing to" = going to]
["wicked" = really, really]

Yeah, Ill never forget the first time I called a friend back in jersey and his sister told him some southerner was on the phone. i was pretty upset about it.  now i have the snooty northern virginia accent, but i still have the jersey accent for certain words like "dawg", wawk, cawfee, etc.
