Just got the e-mail from Dennis Shields.
I'm pleased to inform you that a letter just left my office notifying you of your admission to the Duke Law Class of 2008. You should receive the letter in a few days.
You will be receiving other correspondence from us in the coming weeks and months. In January and February you will hear from a current student either by email or telephone call. We will also ask a Duke Law graduate to make contact with you during that time frame.
We know that you are an outstanding law school candidate and are likely to be offered admission by other very fine law schools. We hope these contacts will enable you to get to know us better and make clear to you that Duke Law is a good choice for you as you are confronted with making the difficult decision of where to pursue your law school education.
Personal contact and a visit to our school are the best ways to get to know our educational community. We hope you will be able to attend our Open House in March (you'll receive more information about this later). Or if that is not convenient, please feel free to contact us to set up an individual campus visit. I urge you to visit our web site and explore all that Duke Law has to offer. http://www.law.duke.edu/admis/
Congratulations on your admission to Duke Law. Please know you are free to contact me with any questions you may have about coming to Duke. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors. I look forward to speaking with you in the not too distant future.
