Try to get a job at a law firm or in a related field getting work experience. Most importantly(obviously) is to get a better LSAT score. Get PowerScore.

Try to work in whatever field you'd like to practice in. If it's child advocacy, try to volunteer for a foster care agency, show depth and breadth to increase your chances. etc, etc, etc

Honestly, I don't think you're as poor a candidate as you think you are. Your GPA is far better than mine (3.23) and you and I are in the same score band (152) yet I still feel certain I am going to law school in the fall. I really think that you have a good chance of acceptance. To where did you apply? There are plenty of 4th tier schools that will accept you and provide a good education.

I think that being in Americorps will strengthen your application.  You have to be doing Americorps because you're dedicated to a cause, because the pay is shiite.  Hopefully you will be accepted somewhere and won't have to worry about it.

You applied to a lot of places.  I am sure that you carefully weighted your options and at least one of those schools will accept you!  Your GPA is good.

The best thing you can do to improve your application is your LSAT score.  If I were you, I think I would work for a year in something that I find fufilling.  Save up some money (to pay all of that tuition ;D) and apply again!
