congrats nonobvious - mind if I ask the usual neurotic questions? Where do you live, what did the envelope look like, and how long before receiving the acceptance did you get notification of a complete file (if at all?)

Currently I live in Pasadena (which is why I received it essentially the day after they sent it, if you discount Thanksgiving), and was in California for much of last year but my residency status is still a bit foggy (not an issue for USC, but will be for the U-Cals... didn't switch license from NY within the '1-year window' since I had left my car out east, now have to resort to more circumstancial evidence of 'intent').

Data points for the paranoid to plot:

Applied: 10/08 [LSACD]
LSAC Report Sent: 10/28
USC sent letter about their secret EA option: 11/2
 
I sent back that form: uh... a couple days later.
USC mailed their decision: 11/24

So basically, it took about three weeks from
when they started reviewing the complete app...

And as for the big envelope, it looked like, um... a big envelope?

i got mine too!  got home and checked my mail with much excitement. 

i actually got my complete letter yesterday, i guess.  it was dated 11/23, and my acceptance was dated 11/24.

my timeline:

applied 10/31, report sent a few days after that.  details are in the LSN link in my signature.

(also got my michigan acceptance today, but will post that on the appropriate thread too.)

edit: i should also add that i live a whopping 11 or so miles from USC, so i get mail from them super fast.

Plus, the football team's looking really good, just whipped Notre Dame!  One more reason to like USC, anyway.

Anyway, I think more weight in the rankings needs to be given to the 'strength of football team' criteria...  Too bad Auburn doesn't have a law school.
