MindTheGap,

I sent you an email detailing a lot of stuff.  I didn't really want to post such a long response since I tend to ramble quite a bit (as you'll see in the email).  Suffice to say, I have pretty diverse experiences that might have made me stand out as a candidate, but it's hard to get over the GPA hurdle with HYS.  I don't even come close in terms of 25th percentile at any of those places, and since I haven't won a Nobel Prize or been to a third world country performing free surgery for starving children, I knew my chances were low going into it (my LOR's and PS were solid, but not spectacular by any means).

However, I truly believe you have a dang good shot at anything other than those places, and you'll even have plenty of fee waivers to help with the costs of applying (I know that saved me quite a bit).  Anyway, it's all in the email.  Good luck.

dunnolaw -- \congrats on Hastings!  You must have been complete a long time ago. I have your numbers, but applied late.  I'd be thrilled with Loyola or Southwestern... How about withdrawing those seats and putting in a good word for me?

I've been complete everywhere since before Thanksgiving....I withdrew from Southwestern a while ago I'm only holding spots at Loyola, Wash U, and Hastings.  I have a call into Dean Shrop...as soon as I hear back from him depending on what he says I'll withdraw from Loyola for you.  Good luck with everything.

Eithdraw from Wash U for me too if you want to.  You sound so excited about Hastings, and I can not think of a better place to go to school.

congrats on Hastings!  I probably will be going there too.  I already sent my deposit and a 3rd year called & congratulated me.  I just got into Davis as well, but I think I am leaning towards Hastings.  Of course I have the waitlist from Berkeley to watch, but I am not really counting on that.  They said they don't even touch it until after May.

Got my first ding today via telephone. It was from Villanova :'( :'(.

Actually, it doesn't sting as bad as I thought it would because I already have an acceptance in hand. So, I at least know that I am going somewhere ;D. I am still in committee at Dickinson, so I sent them an e-mail of continuing interest and identified them as my top choice. I will be keeping my fingers crossed.

So here is where I stand:

IN: Widener
OUT: Villanova
Pending: Dickinson
