The new acceptance letters thread

Since the old thread will be drowning in hateraid soon, I figured it was time to start a new thread for people to share their acceptances, dings, and waitlists. Post whenever you get a new letter in the mail, so we can share in your elation, offer consolations, or just share some libations to toast your future law career. Good luck everyone!

I got $12K/year @ Hofstra but waiting to hear from Rutgers-Newark, UCONN, and Seton Hall. Would love to talk to anyone who got into those 3.

Thanks, zpops. I couldn't stand to read the other thread after a while.
Stats: 3.58 GPA, 171 LSAT, B.A. in Integrative Biology
Accepted: NYU, UCLA, USC
Rejected: Harvard, Stanford
Withdrawn: Columbia
I'll be attending NYU. Fell completely in love with it during admitted students day.
(I heard back from NYU very early in the process, so I didn't even bother applying to many other schools)

Good choice Calguy!!! I'm VERY partial to NYU (it's definitly where I'll be if I don't get into Yale, and probably where I'll go if I do get into Harvard). Which admitted dtudents day did you go to, I went to the Apr 2 one? We might have even met each other, lol!

I went to UC Berkeley too. Go Bears! Congrats on getting into Boalt, btw.
And zpops, I know who you are (check your email). Good luck on Yale.

Hey Calguy,
Would you mind telling me a bit about your background? I have very similar numbers to you and am looking into roughly the same schools. Specifically, I am an Electrical Engineering major at the University of Texas. I currently have a 3.59 GPA, but I expect that to be slightly higher by the end of this semester (3.61 perhaps). I haven't taken the LSAT officially yet, but I've been scoring 175 +/- 3 points on practice tests. Did you get any feel for how law schools perceived your hard science background? Do you think they cut you any slack on your GPA?
I definitely plan on applying to NYU, Columbia, Harvard, University of Virginia, and Georgetown. I will probably also apply to several of the California schools you got into. Since you seem to have just finished the process I'm about to start (and come out quite well), I would appreciate any info you could provide.
