Why would W&L send me a fee waiver?
« on: November 26, 2004, 12:59:56 AM »
I was under the impression that I was well out of the running for a Washington and Lee slot, does a fee waiver suggest otherwise?  I have a 3.0/158, but that didn't stop postal props by way of W&Lee a few weeks ago.  What motivation would a law school have for sending likely rejects fee waivers? I suppose it could help increase their selectivity, but I doubt this is the case.  What do you guys think?

I think they do it to get more apps, more rejections.... more selectivity. this helps them go up in the rankings.... I got the W&L fee waiver too, along with one from NU, and I don't think I'm very competitive at either school.

I think W&L gives out a fee waiver to anyone who applies online, though, so it's nothing to think too much about.

I believe that to be correct.

Maybe if you simply send it to them a second time, they'll accept you.
