Why is it so much harder to read posts now?
« on: April 13, 2004, 01:05:32 PM »
I've noticed that it's much harder to read posts now than in the past. Instead of just seeing the whole message, you see a line or two and then have to scroll down to read the rest. This is very awkward. Is there any chance (assuming there actually has been a change and its not my browser or something) that messages will show up as they did in the past?

Ummmm... No problem here. What's this scrolliong you're talking about? I can see the entire post all the time. Maybe you have a browser problem?

Please explain more - I don't see the problem on my end, but maybe it's something I can fix.

I don't think it's a global problem.

There's a single post on the Hate board under the "I don't think I'm getting into law school this year" topic that does the scroll thing. It's about halfway down the page by Barry Schmotz and he put in a really long exclamation at the very end that I think made the post get a bottom scroll bar. that's the closest thing I've seen.

Good point--I didn't think of that.

Yeah - I've been trying to make this site more standards compliant but I find that the standards aren't really all that standard.  There's a big margin problem with Mozilla-based browsers for example.

I'll see if I can get ahold of a mac to have a look and see if there's a way to fix any issues there (it might a while though).

I guess I just need to update my browser. Thanks for the feedback.
