Gifts to Recommenders

What is an appropriate gift to give a professor who has written a LOR for you?

I sent cards after LSAC processed the recs and I plan to send them some good wine or one of those big fruit baskets if I get into a non-safety school before Christmas.

notice I said only if I get in a non-safety. If safeties are all I get, they don't get jack. 
besides I know my recommenders pretty well, I guess it depends how well you know them too.

I'm gonna send my recomenders an email saying "congratulations, now I won't ever have to bug you for a recomendation ever again!".

Law school was actually easy...they had to mail out like 30 individual letters when I was job searching 2 years ago...I took them out to dinner/drinking after that ordeal.

I will probably give them a coffee mug or some other kind of gift that has the name of the law school on it.

I bought a book for one of my recomenders. I still haven't figure out what do do for the other two. Though one of them just got engaged - maybe I can send a wedding/thank you gift all in one.
