The law school definitely has a great prestige level in Northern CA. It's comparable to UC Hastings, which is also considered very good.
I think a lot of people with very good numbers apply to public's like Davis for tuition purposes, so I would assume admissions is very competitive. It is probably very hard to get in.
Even with it's prestige factor, it might not be a bad idea to go to a lower-ranked school in the area like USF or Santa Clara, both of which have higher starting salaries.
