andrew, is there a way for you to delete trolls' posts, particularly where they start a new topic and no one has replied?  that way no one else is really affected...

It no one responds than the thread will drop into the past.

The equivalent of deletion here is moving a message to the hate board (out of the way, but still active if anyone wants to pursue the issue - or if the government wants to investigate in 20 years when the poster is up for judicial appointment).  Yes, troll messages should be moved to the hate board, but it's just a matter of catching them.
