we talked about this in a previous thread, but after DOWNY COOLEY's little run tonight of 169+ posts, i want to bring the idea back:
we should have users be moderators on this board. and, as before, i nominate myself to be one of the people in this role. it's frustrating as hell to watch more and more of the last 200 topics be posts from a troll, and if we have a couple regular LSDers moderating, we can stop trolls before it gets as out of hand as it has gotten in the past. and clearly i'm a good candidate; just look at the number of posts i have. i spend a ton of time on the board
comments?

I agree as well.
I can't believe that some moron spent his entire night writing over 169 posts about me. Absolutely pathetic.

I second pookie's nomination.
Or I nominate her for the first time, and need a second.

desi, do you mean that you personally wouldn't volunteer, or that you wouldn't volunteer if you were me? if the latter, please explain
thanks for the support, guys! hopefully andrew supports it too
DOWNY, did you see the posts? the troll copy/pasted a bunch of your posts repeatedly.

Yes, still working on this. Sorry I let the issue drop - there weren't any trolls for a while there.

I nominate the idea of a user getting automatically promoted to assistant moderator when they obtain LSD Obsessed level.

Thanks. I don't think anyone is ever going to be getting special privileges for posting a certain number of posts. That would just encourage worthless posts and invite spam.
