Practicing without at least minimum access to Westlaw or Lexis would be crazy. You can get access for one states cases and code plus Sheppards for about $110 per month. For most solos that would about cover what they need. LexisONE is a pretty good product but it is really a market share building plan for Lexis.
People complain about the cost of these services all the time but they are valuable and it sure beats stuffing "pocket parts" in the old bound volumes.
