LexisONe free research site

Although, most students have free access to Westlaw,Lexis, or both, this is a pretty good free site that Lexis has launched. You can veiw plain text cases from the past 5 years for free. http://www.lexisone.com

The site is tageted at solos and small firms. If you are not yet a student or a pro se it could be useful. You can get enhanced services by paying with a credit card. You can purchase individual cases or packages for a day, week, or month.

Well, this is a great idea.  It's crazy how expensive lexis and west law are. . .

Practicing without at least minimum access to Westlaw or Lexis would be crazy.  You can get access for one states cases and code plus Sheppards for about $110 per month. For most solos that would about cover what they need.  LexisONE is a pretty good product but it is really a market share building plan for Lexis.

People complain about the cost of these services all the time but they are valuable and it sure beats stuffing "pocket parts" in the old bound volumes.
