Anyone else having withdrawals?
« on: April 09, 2004, 11:17:13 AM »
From Lawschoolnumbers.com?  LOL!  I keep checking it a hundred times a day and it is down.  I just need to catch a glance at any new Accepts/Rejects/Waitlists..

It is bad enough waiting for the mailman!

I copied all of my schools into Excel spreadsheets. When it's back up I'm going to spend a lot time comparing each one and monitoring changes... Can someone say OCD?

so i know withdrawal just means that they withdrew their application because they decided not to apply to that school anymore. but what does it mean in lawschoolnumbers when it says "not applied?" why bother listing your user name under a school if you didnt apply in the first place?

Well it is up, but you cannot log into your account to update information...  So I can't see if anyone has gotten into a certain school in the last few days :(

"Not Applies" is used by people who are interested in watching the numbers for a particular institution.  They may be considering applying at some time in the future.  Maybe they want to watch the numbers to reinforce their decision not to apply.  They could have a friend/family who applied and they are watching the shcool's stats.  Perhaps the user works for admissions at that school or another school, and they have a spceial interest in the admissions stats?  I'm sure I could think of other "alternate possibilities," but I'll leave those up to you.

I think this board should merge woth lawschoolnumbers. The result would be a Microsoft-esque monopoly on pre-law school information. An empire in the making...
