i got full tuition plus $500 for books, I know others on this board have gotten the same

yeah I got the same scholarship as Andywp. I think I am going to take it. I'm waiting for a response from UCLA before making the final decision. I'm glad to hear that Loyola's numbers are "skyrocketing." Maybe it'll break into the first tier by the time I graduate. :)

Yeah...money isn't really something I'm considering as of now, I am just going to go to the best school I get accepted to.  If nobody else has the common sense to accept me, I will be headed for Loyola as well. I know it has a fantastic reputation in the LA area, but I wanted the options available by going to a more national school.  When I visited the campus, I hated it...a huge parking structure and a campus enclosed by an ugly grey wall.  There didn't seem to be any sense of community at all.  Also, as an Angelino native, I'm truly ready to leave SoCal.
