Extra board feature
« on: April 08, 2004, 03:49:58 AM »
First of all, I want to say this is a great site.  I'm glad to have found a board for prelaws which has a nice user base, and is powered by a nice board system.  My only suggestion is that a button be added to the bottom of the page which automatically runs a search for all the active topics of the day.  Just saves some time when looking over the site.

Yes - a great idea.  I'll get to work on that.  I was thinking of something similar...

I was thinking of a huge list of the most recent topics.  That way you can quickly see what's new that day.

Here's a beta version:

What do you think?

Perfect.  That's exactly what I was thinking of.  The last ten topics updated is useful, but this lets you get a wider perspective.

Just one thing, can you put a refresh link on the page?  It would save me from highlighting the URL in my browser and reaching for the Enter Key  ;D

Hit F-5. No mouse movement required! How's that for efficiency?

but i like to sit back in my chair with only one hand on the mouse thus resting the other hand.  if i have to use the keyboard i would have to move my left hand.  i am pretty lazy, arent i?

Isn't there a refresh button on your browser?

I suppose I could make something that would refresh automatically.  That way you could just sit back and watch the board completely hands free!  That would probably take up a lot of bandwidth though.
