Just got off the phone with LSAC

The rep told me that they are still running 10 days behind in getting transcripts and LORs posted. Just figured some of you would like to know.

One of my letters of recommendation was sent out last Monday and it was processed today.  I was shocked at how quickly that happened.  Hopefully that means everything will be up to date soon.

Oh yeah, speaking of which - and I spoke to Mr. LSAC and he said I should apply to a couple more safeties. He said my PS was good though. He's gonna put in a call for me to the Dean at Cornell 'cuz I had to wait on hold so long.

Geez, I'd like to get that rep! I got hung up on this morning when I requested some of the "service" that I had paid for. And that was after 30 minutes on hold.

I wonder what it means when one rep tells you about the huge backlog and how he has no idea when things will be processed (and then hangs up on you). And later another rep tells you ten days but says "that's odd" when you say it's been more than 10 days.

At least I can come to this forum and find I'm not alone.

One rep today said that I should have them re-sent, and direct the transcripts directly to her. For me, it's four transcripts, and I just don't know it it's worth it to try to get them there by my ultimate EA deadline of 11/15. I may. Maybe just the free ones, which I can request by fax. The ones that I have to mail a check to ... ??

If, as they claim at LSAC, the backlog is 10 days, that's about how long it's going to take me to get new ones to them. However, some of mine were mailed in September, so that 10-day backlog is probably just a line.

Could it be any more convoluted for me to apply to ONE law school?
