Just wanted to get some thoughts from everyone here. I'm from the So Cal area and want to eventually practice in L.A. but am considering the option of applying to some out-of-state Tier 2 schools. My reason being - I need a change of scenery/pace!! It seems like the general consensus is to go to school in the area you plan to practice, but is it really such an impractical decision to attend a school that is not in your area? Thanks for your feedback. I'm getting more and more frazzled as the days go by....

Personally, going somewhere I'm happy is a huge factor, even if I have to sacrifice some job prospects. I mean, it's three years of my life in my 20's that I'm never getting back. So yeah, it might be more practical to stay in your area, but even if you went to a school out-of-state, you can still do well and be perfectly happy. Just my two cents.
