Northeastern Or Loyola or IIT kent
« on: April 05, 2004, 12:51:34 PM »
These are the three schools I received admission to. BTW Loyola as in Loyola University Chicago.  I like both cities and was curious to know which school has the best rep in its RESPECTIVE city.

Where would you go if you were me?

Historically Loyola has had a better rep than Kent although Kent has really risen in the rankings recently.  What kind of law are you interested in?  Loyola is a very small school with a strong focus in health law and family law.  Kent's bigger and more 'general.'

Northeastern has been getting over-rated a lot because of its coop program.  Many law schools run clinics that function as essentially the same thing.  With the current economy and everyone worried about jobs, the idea of coming out of law school with job experience is enticing.  But I don't think Northeastern's coop program puts them above other schools that run clinics.  You also have to think about where you want to practice.  If you want to stay in New England, then Northeastern is a decent choice.
