they can do that all they want; they'll still be looking at my application.  it doesn't say TDPookie on it.  i set up a new e-mail address just for law school applications (which i've decided to use for everything else now too, though i'm setting up a separate one for newsletters and LSD and stuff, because i don't want to hide my e-mail address, but since it's myfirstname.mylastname@blah.com, it's too un-anonymous for me.

That's pretty interesting.  But do you think it could actually change a decision, or just give them a sense of their reputation among pre-law students?

I asked that question pretty specifically when an adcom member I was talking to brought it up.  He said that discussion boards have very little chance of affecting decisions, since they don't really have the time to match up applications to discussion board personalities.  What they're really looking for is to get a sense of what applicants have to say about their school, and make sure that there is no gross mis-information going around.
