chances as an URM???

Hey guys,

i really have no idea what to expect when applying to law schools this year. i was wondering if u guys could give me a good idea as to where i should be looking at? i am an african american male with a 3.8 from top private university (HYPS) and a 166 on the LSAT (pretty disappointed as I was scoring in the low 170s by the end of my practice). Normal EC's, good recs (I'm assuming), etc... What are realistic choices for me? My top choice would be either UPenn or Columbia (is that realistic?).

I'd say those are very realistic choices for you.  Of course you'll want safeties, but as a URM w/ those numbers you've got a shot at all the top schools.
