Are merit based scholarships

offered at the same time as letters of acceptance, or do they come afterwards?  Thanks for any information you can provide.

both of mine came after, but the initial letters of acceptance said that i was in consideration for merit awards...

One came with one came after.

I would guess it also depends on how strong you are at a given school.  If you were just outside the merit scholarship range, and people they gave scholarships to decline the offer of acceptance, you may get an offer later on.

I've been accepted to 4 schools so far, only 1 of them came with an offer, 2 others came later
