as far as what i know, military service helps in terms of compensating for gpa (cuz it reflects a degree of discipline and diligence)... i don't think it can compensate for a low lsat score though
Definitely. You gotta improve your LSAT. If it is a little closer to the range for the schools you want to go to, I think with your experience they'd let you in.
By the way, I was wondering if there was any law related career options in the services that are available part time, ie natl guard/reserves. From what I heard, JAG does not allow that, but I wonder what else is out there.
