I’m going apartment hunting this weekend in Albany…looking for a modern and new-ish apartment.  Any recommendations?

SUNY Albany has a campus downtown, stay away from there, that's the student ghetto, and you probably don't want that.  I always thought Western Ave. area had nice houses, between the main SUNY campus and St. Rose. 

There are nice brick walk-ups closer to Rockefeller Plaza, not exactly modern, and probably pricey, but look nice.  Most apartments near to the law school seemed to be houses, Albany doesn't have that many big apartment buildings you would find in a larger urban area.
