No More Pictures in Signatures

No more pictures in signatures - they're really annoying and they disrupt the flow of the thread (I think).  You already have your choice of picture for your avatar, so you don't need one in your signature.  As of now they've been disabled (hit F5 if you're still seeing them).

You can still have images in the body of a post, but there's a new size limit of 100px tall and 450px wide.  This will prevent any huge images that take up the whole page.

Andrew, any chance you could increase the avatar space slightly?  Just a little would make it easier to make out who people are in group photos, etc.

Perhaps vertically?

Edit: Looking at yours and Superiorlobe's avatars perhaps the better question is, how do you get your photo to show up that large?

By the way - if you used to have an image in your signature - it's technically still there.  It'd be best to remove it so you're not wasting the bandwidth of the site that hosts the image. 

Actually, you shouldn't be using images hosted on other people's sites at all (without permission that is).  This could happen to you.  Even I've done it.

You just need a squarer picture.  The max width and height are both 100px.  That kind of assumes you'll be using a square picture, but it's the middle ground between a vertical picture and a horizontal one.  Your current picture must be have been larger than 100px wide, which means it'll get reduced to 100px wide (the larger dimension) by however high it needs to be to keep it's shape.

Does that make sense?

I cropped a picture I had so that it would fit in the space nicely.

hooray for no more pictures in signatures!

Could there maybe be just a little more room for pictures in the body?  100px is a little short.  And that didn't seem to be as much of an enduring problem
