comparison
« on: October 16, 2004, 03:43:26 PM »

I'm wondering when other people are planning to apply to law schools and how many you'll apply to -- although this has probably been posted somewhere else, so sorry if this is a repeat.  It's just for comparison's sake.  Is October early/good/too late?  And is 9-11 too few/good/too many?

thnx :)

Wow.  Dang.  I thought I was ahead of the game - I'm applying to 11 and have sent out 7, should get the others in by Monday.  Do you think getting your apps in early raises your chances of acceptance?  (I mean obviously getting them in before the deadline does, but I mean just getting them in a few months before the deadline)

Yes, it does slightly increases your chance of getting in.  Adcomms tend to give more attention on each individdual apps.  Once they start getting hundreds of app, they won't be spending as much time on each app.

Yeah, you're still early.  I'd say after Thanksgiving, it becomes normal.  You def. want to have everything in by Christmas because I heard a TONN of applications flow in around then.

I sent out 13 two weeks ago.

You're still early.  Besides with those LSAT scores, who cares. ;D

15 schools here, will be sending them out either late this week or early next week.  My only problem is that they won't be complete for EA deadlines b/c my damned recommendations still haven't been processed by LSDAS.  I'm going to see if my professors are willing to send out 15 copies of the recs instead so they get to the schools on time.
