The UN is one of the most corrupt organizations in the World, its resolutions are less relevant to the conflict today. Israel is actually showing restraint relative to what we would do under any President.

dont know whether to laugh or cry at that.  the piece of land had a name--they used the name palestine in reference to term commonly used from biblical sources.  the people that NOW live in isr. are the same ppl (or children/grandchildren) of ppl who lived in jordanian/egyptian land as citizens of those cntrys for yrs.  again--they decided to come along and say "hey, now that jordan/egypt wont let us back in after being humiliated by isr. (as said b/4--they tried to wipe out isr. several times and failed) we have no where to go--let's term ourselves palestinians."

look you clearly know virtually nothing on the matter.  just go learn some history then come back with whatever opinion you want.  get educated ok?

the people in palestine, palestinians were clamoring for a state while they were still un der the ottoman rule.  they wanted to be let back to their homes that they left because of the war(s). you constructionist nob.  you are probably thinking of the PLO because they took root when the attempts by the surounding arab actors lost their will and ability to affect change

I knew i shouldn't have started reading this again.

I don't want to get back into it all, but this:

"hey, now that jordan/egypt wont let us back in after being humiliated by isr. (as said b/4--they tried to wipe out isr. several times and failed) we have no where to go--let's term ourselves palestinians."

is absurd and wrong. Jordan didn't even exist before Israel. It was a British territory, in the exact same way that Palestine was. To say there is no such thing as Palestinians is offensive and downright ignorant. It's revisionist history. Might as well just say there was no Holocaust.

That is all.

what r u talking about---67.  remember there were 3 times the arab nations tried to wipe out any jewish presence from isr.

at what pt do u think the palestinians of today began calling themselves palestininas
no one denies the land isr. called pal. for a long time and that arabs lived there. just not most of the ones there now.

look it not worth lecturing on history--look it up anywhere non biased as i've said many times.  i dont care.

this has all gone tangential from central pt anyway.  best of luck to all of u.
s/o wants to make a specific pt maybe get involved--but as much as disagree w/ amarain--she is right that not worth trying to go back and forth on basic and broad issues.

Actually it's true that Israel is just behaving like the US did in the same kind of situation. See the Trail of Tears for one example.
