study abroad as semester off - transcripts?

study abroad as semester off - transcripts?
« on: October 09, 2004, 10:50:36 AM »
i studied abroad junior year, but it was with a french program, taking classes in french universities and had NOTHING to do with my US education... never showed up anywhere... but i did take a semester off to do it. now i called half my schools on my list and half want a transcript, half don't. the ones that want it, want it through lsac. do you think LSAC would include a foreign transcript without processing it if i don't request them to add my study abroad program as an institution i attended? or do i need to go through a whole long thing of them listing the institution, officially processing the transcript etc.
anyone in the same predicament?

That sounds like a great semester. Did you get to travel to other countries?  I spent a semester in Italy (that's where my pic comes from), and I hit up like 10 countries while I was over there.  Fortunately, my trip was through my school so it's all on my transcript; I don't know what to tell you about yours.
