How many years in a govt position before pension, 20 or 25? I assume it would max out 5 before that, and pension at 3/4 for that. However, going into government for money seems to be a questionable proposition in the first.
Depends on the Agency, doesn't it? I think White House and Congressional non-civil service staffers (ie not GAO, military, secret service, etc) qualify pretty quickly.
Another useful tip about government work-an LLM is an automatic bump to the next paygrade, so you'd start at GS-12 instead of GS-11, GS-13 instead of GS-12, etc.
